The Beauréal Nature Réserve
The Nature Reserve is a private site open to the public. Its main purpose is to allow you to discover the joys and benefits of nature. The Ministère du développement durable, de l'environnement et des parcs accepted the project request for the creation of the Beauréal Nature Reserve privately- owned land dedicated to the conservation of natural environments.
The large gateway at the entrance to the Reserve will lead you to the parking area next to the welcome centre. From there you can access the various hiking trails totalling 10 km in length.
Hikers will come across, many different environments with rare and surprising species. Beavers, turtles, frogs, trees, mushrooms and other wildlife all welcome you into their habitat. Please be particulary careful to preserve their life and the beauty of their environment.
Of particular interest at Lac à Moisan is the water level, which tends to rise and fall, depending on beaver activity.
Near the marsh, the surrounding area is completely different from the main trail, transporting you to a magnificent nature sanctuary.
The stunning beauty of McGill Lake will impress children and adults alike.
The "cave" or more specifically, the fault is an unusual rock formation in this landscape. You can walk on it and get a good view of McGill Lake.
